As you can see from our easy to follow instructions, DIY artificial turf installation is just a matter of organising a correct foundation and then laying the synthetic grass over the top.

For those DIY enthusiasts, see the simple steps to laying the synthetic lawn:

1. Existing surface is excavated to required level. Approx 80 - 90 mm below joining surface.
2. A 50mm base of fine crushed rock is applied, smoothed out and then compacted.
3. Easyturf synthetic grass is laid out and edges are cut using a sharp blade.
4. 200mm deck spikes are placed into edges to ensure the artificial grass does not come up.
5. Specially graded dry sand is spread evenly and brushed in as the first stage of the infill. This helps support the grass and allows the blades of fake grass to stand up.
6. The second and final infill stage is the application of granulated rubber. This gets brushed into the turf and further helps the synthetic grass stand up, while providing an earthy look. It makes it very soft to stand on.
