Overview
Client Brief: Replace the school’s ageing sports surface with a new, high-performance multi-sport field capable of supporting AFL, soccer, and four square — giving students safe, year-round access to sport and recreation.
Key Challenges: : Existing surface needed full removal without disrupting a live, operating school. Drainage had to be engineered to handle water across the full 5,000 m² field. A tight 7-week program required careful sequencing across every stage. Delivery had to meet VSBA specifications and sign-off at each stage. Surrounding grounds also needed reinstating once works were complete.
Our Solution: Stripped and removed the existing surface across the site. Built a 300mm crushed rock foundation with a 200mm capping layer. Installed a Mego Flow subsurface drainage system for reliable water management. Added spoon drain perimeter surface drainage around the field.Installed FieldTurf Academy Pro across the full 5,000 m² multi-sport field.Sh aped and hydroseeded 2,500 m² of surrounding areas to complete the site.
